Chennai : The Directorate of Government Exams, Tamil Nadu will declare the result for plus two exams on May 8 at 9:30 am. The HSC students can check their result at the official website – dge.tn.gov.in or tnresults.nic.in.

Out of the 8.51 lakh registered for the HSC exam, over 5.36 lakh students were from the Science stream, more than 2.54 lakh students from Commerce stream, around 14,000 students from the Arts stream.  
The Tamil Nadu Education Minister Anbil Mahesh recently chaired a meeting to discuss the reason behind the increasing dropout rate of students from the board exams. In 2023, 5.6 per cent of Plus Two candidates had failed to appear for the test.

In 2022, the results were declared on June 21 and had an overall pass percentage of 93.76 per cent. The exams were conducted from May 5 to May 28 and the exam began from 10 am and ended at 1:15 pm.  Around 7 lakh students had appeared for class 12 exams in 2022. v
In 2021, TN Class 12 results were announced on July 19, 2022. The examination was not conducted last year and so the result was prepared on the basis of a different evaluation method.
