Surat: The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat (SVNIT) has announced applications for the SVNIT Summer Internship Programme (SSIP) 2026 for undergraduate engineering students.

According to the official notification, the internship programme aims to promote academic research and innovation among young engineering students. The initiative is open to both SVNIT students and students from other institutions across India.

The programme will run from May 18 to July 17, 2026, during which selected interns will work on research and development projects under the supervision of SVNIT faculty members.

A total of 100 students will be selected for the internship. Selected candidates will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹5,000 during the programme.

The institute has stated that hostel accommodation will be available on a payment basis, while mess or canteen expenses will be borne by the interns themselves. Participants will also have access to laboratory facilities, library resources, internet services, and medical consultation at the institute dispensary.

Students pursuing B.E. or B.Tech programmes who have completed at least the fifth semester with a good academic record are eligible to apply.

The last date to submit applications is April 10, 2026.
