Gandhinagar, 11 April 2023: In a bid to support the primary education in Gujarat, Suzuki Motors (GSM) has partnered with the Dr. K R Shroff Foundation (KRSF) to provide financial grants and special coaching classes in 22 villages across Ahmedabad, Mehsana and SurendraNagar.

The recently announced partnership aims to improve the academic performance of primary school children and to promote benefits of education in rural areas. As part of the initiative the foundation will provide financial support to cover educational expenses.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pratul Shroff, founder of KRSF said "The collaboration with SMG will extrapolate our efforts in the education sectors to more villages around Ahmedabad." The grants will cover uniforms, books and stationery. The special cpaching classes will focus on subjects such as Math and Science and will be taught by experienced professors.

This partnership comes at a time when the COVID 19 pandemic has left the educational sector strained particularly in rural areas. With schools having had to close for extended periods, it has been difficult for many children from these areas to continue, leading to significant setbacks in their progress.

The partnership between Suzuki Motors and Dr K R Shroff Foundation is part of the company's social corporate responsibility (CSR) initiatives. CSR has become an essential aspect of corporate governance and many companies are now involved in social and environmental causes. The initiative has been welcomed by the local communities, with many expressing their gratitude of the benefits this partnership will reap for the primary education sectors.
