St. John’s Research Institute to conduct Urban Health Fundamentals Online Course

Bangalore: The Epidemiology division of St. John’s Research Institute is conducting an online course on urban health fundamentals in April. Through this online course students will learn about the fundamental concepts of urban health, various health problems, environmental degradation, unhealthy lifestyles and various social inequities.

The course can be completed by students in their own free time and students will receive course completion certificate. The course is aimed at students, professional and researchers who are interested in public health and anyone with backgrounds in health sciences, medicine, social sciences, economics, arts, commerce or life/biological sciences will find this course to be useful.

The course will begin on April 1 and end on April 30, where students must study the five modules of urbanization, urban democracy, urban poor, urban health framework and urban health and sustainable development goals, with an additional module 0 serving as an introduction to the course.
