New Delhi. : The SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier-1 Exam 2025, which began on 12 September 2025 to recruit candidates for 14,582 Group B and C posts, has been marred by cancellations at several centres across India.
From the first day, aspirants reported server breakdowns, power failures, and poor management, forcing abrupt exam cancellations mid-way. The disruptions triggered widespread concern, though the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has now announced re-exam dates for some cities while others await updates.
SSC Chairperson S. Gopalkrishnan acknowledged the problems:
“Since this is the first time for this agency, the examination has faced technical glitches and procedural lapses at a few centres. We have taken cognizance of this and are working to minimise disruptions.”
