Lucknow: The Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development (SPNIWCD), Regional Centre Lucknow, has announced admissions for the Advanced Diploma Course in Child Guidance and Counselling (ADCGC) for the academic session 2026–27.
The programme is being offered in collaboration with Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and is approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
According to the admission brochure, the course aims to strengthen professional skills in counselling and child development, preparing candidates to work in educational institutions, child welfare services, and counselling centres.
The diploma programme will run for one year, comprising 10 months of coursework and 2 months of internship. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible for RCI registration and recognition as certified counsellors.
Applications for the course are available on the institute’s official website. The last date for submission of applications is April 13, 2026 (up to 5:30 PM).
The application fee is ₹400 for SC/ST/PwD candidates and ₹800 for other applicants. Interested candidates may also obtain the application form in person from the SPNIWCD Regional Centre in Lucknow.
Officials stated that the course is designed to strengthen counselling services and promote professional training in child development, aligning with the institute’s mandate under the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
