The seminar, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, aims to explore evolving approaches in art education, focusing on the intersection of traditional practices, cultural exchange, and modern pedagogical methods. It will bring together scholars, artists, and educators to discuss the role of globalisation, digital technology, and indigenous knowledge in shaping contemporary art pedagogy.

According to the organisers, the event will feature keynote lectures, paper presentations, and discussions on topics such as classical teaching systems, cross-cultural influences in arts curricula, digital technologies in performing arts education, and inclusive pedagogy. The seminar will also examine the historical foundations of art education and identify future directions in a rapidly changing global context.

Noted personalities, including Padma Shri awardee Ritwik Sanyal, along with academicians from institutions in India and abroad, are expected to participate as guest speakers.

The seminar is open to students, researchers, and academicians, with prior registration mandatory. Selected research papers presented during the event will be considered for publication in conference proceedings or peer-reviewed journals.

The initiative seeks to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and encourage innovative approaches to art education across diverse cultural settings.
