Sriperumbudur - Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), an Institute of National Importance , located in Sriperumbudur, Tamilnadu will organize a one-day online seminar, titled "Graphic Narratives in India: Emerging Youth Identities" on February 11, 2026. The seminar will begin at 10:30 AM and will be conducted in online mode.
The academic event is being organised by the Department of English, RGNIYD and aims to explore the role of graphic narratives such as comics and graphic novels in shaping contemporary youth identities in india.
The seminar will feature eminent speakers from the field of graphic design, literature and humanities. Dr. Pinaki De, Graphic Designer and Associate Professor, Department of English, Raja Peary Mohan College, will be one of the key speakers. Renowned graphical novelist and illustrator Harsho Mohan Chattoraj will address the participants. Another speaker Dr. Sathyaraj Venkatesan, Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIT Tiruchirapally, will share his academic insights during the session.
The programme will be held under the patronage of Mr Subrata Hazra, Director, RGNIYD. Dr Madhumathi P, Associate Professor and Head, Department of English, will serve as the Chairperson. The seminar is being convened by Dr Sudip Kumar Das and Mr Argha De, both Assistant Professors (on contract) at the Department of English, RGNIYD.
The registration fee is ₹100 and the last date for registration is February 8, 2026.
