New Delhi - The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi, under the Education Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi, has released a circular announcing a Three-Day Training Programme on Pre-Vocational Skills for Special Education Teachers of the Directorate of Education (DoE). The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of teachers in equipping students with essential pre-vocational competencies and work-related behaviors.
As per the circular, the objectives of the programme include introducing the importance of pre-vocational skills for future employment, enabling teachers to impart work ethics and time management skills, designing student-specific vocational activities, and providing hands-on learning through simulations and role-playing. The programme also seeks to promote collaboration among educators for sharing resources and best practices.
The training will be conducted between February 16 and February 28, 2026, with reporting time at 9:00 am and sessions scheduled from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Initial batches will be held at Govt. Co-Ed. SV, Sector 13, Dwarka (School ID: 1821281), followed by sessions at CM Shri BL Block, Shalimar Bagh (School ID: 1309030), and Shaheed Hemu Kalani SBV (School ID: 1925059). Each batch will consist of approximately 50–60 participants.
SCERT has directed concerned authorities to ensure mandatory attendance of all nominated participants. The circular has been issued under the signature of Dr. Mukesh Yadav, Secretary, SCERT Delhi. The programme is expected to enhance inclusive vocational education practices and improve employment readiness among students with special needs.
