Exam Pattern and Syllabus Structure

The RPSC Senior Teacher Grade II exam has two papers, and both are objective-type papers. Paper I is General Studies, which contains 100 MCQs of 200 marks to be completed in 2 hours. It contains Rajasthan’s geography, history, culture, current affairs and educational psychology. Paper II is a subject matter that contains 150 MCQs of 300 marks to be completed in 2.5 hours.

Both papers are negatively marked. A wrong answer will result in the loss of one-third of the marks assigned to that question. Paper II contains three sections: questions of secondary and senior secondary standards (180 marks), graduation standard with 80 marks and teaching (40 marks).

Candidates will have to download the official subject-wise PDF syllabus from www.rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in, and Rajasthan-specific topics should be studied, especially in Paper I, as these are local context questions and are mandatory. Practising mock tests regularly, keeping in mind the negative marking, will help candidates manage time and can make a significant difference to help them reach the final merit list.
