: Reva University is making waves beyond academics by diving into the world of sports and culture with the launch of the Reva Cricket League, starting on January 13. This cricketing league is set to redefine corporate cricket in a big way.
The tournament features a hundred-ball format, with 20 corporate teams competing in 47 thrilling matches. Each team has 15 players, and the event goes on for eight exciting days, infusing fresh energy into the corporate cricket scene.
The gameplay comes with team changes every 50 balls. Matches are kept fast-paced and exciting with a 70-minute innings duration, ensuring excitement for both players and spectators. Each team gets a 25-ball power play throughout the tournament to strategically boost their scores.
With over 300 players forming 20 teams, the tournament unfolds over 10 days scheduled on weekends. Organized into four groups, only the top two teams from each group will qualify, intensifying the competition.
Notably, details about the semi-finals and finals are yet to be decided, adding an element of anticipation to the event. Matches take place at Reva University's grounds, broadcasting live to reach audiences both within and beyond the stadium.
This leather ball tournament exclusively invites seasoned players, having excellent cricketing skills. Students are excluded, emphasizing the event's commitment to a professional and competitive spirit.
