RBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2027 to Start on February 16

Rajasthan: RBSE has confirmed the starting date of the most important academic event of the session 2026-2027. According to the latest notification by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE) Ajmer, the Board Exams of Class 10th and Class 12th will commence from February 16, 2027.

This notification was first uploaded by the Board on their official Social Media account on 7th November, 2026. As per this notification the senior secondary (Class 11th and 12th) and the secondary (Class 9th and 10th) school examinations will commence from the same date, February 16, 2027. Apart from a clear examination starting date, there is a minor, but an important change for the students’ preparation schedule. The examinations will start from 10.30 am in 2027.

The starting of examinations at 10.30 am means a revision and sample paper practice schedule has to be fixed along with completing the chapters. This will require adjusting the previous preparation schedule and plan. With the starting date announced, students can plan accordingly. They should give equal importance to the revision and sample paper practices along with preparing chapters.

RBSE Model Question Papers 2027 Released: How Students Can Use Them

The 2027 exam prep of RBSE students has just gotten easier with the release of model question papers. According to reports, the model question papers have been released for both Class 10 and Class 12 students and contain samples for time management, expected formats of questions and areas that require additional focus.

Students can use these model question papers to better organize their prep time instead of waiting to use the sample papers released with the formal detailed date sheets. Some tips for using the model papers effectively include:

  • solving as many model papers as possible within the time allotted to give a realistic idea of time constraints
  • identifying confusing concepts
  • practicing writing complete, structured answers for descriptive questions
  • reviewing numerical questions

Using model question papers for practice is better than relying on sample papers released by the board because the papers should only be used as a practice source and not as an indicator of the questions that will appear in the actual exams.

What Should RBSE Class 10 and 12 Students Expect Next?

The next important release that students should look out for is the detailed subject wise examination timetable. It will clearly specify the dates for individual examinations and the sequence in which they will be held.

There have been speculations that from the 2026-2027 academic year, Class 10 and Class 12 students will be given two opportunities to take their exams. However, the details of the changes and their approvals should be cross checked against future RBSE notifications.
