Bengaluru : In a Tweet uploaded on RACE REVA University’s Twitter account, the university promotes careers in the field of cybersecurity through a blog post. The blog post explains that at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is required to get started in cybersecurity and that there are multiple different current types after a student receives their Master of Technology (M. Tech) degree.

These careers include network security engineer (ensuring security systems stop threats), cyber security analyst (countering cyberattacks and unwanted access attempts), forensic computer analyst (recovering data from systems attacked by hackers), chief information security officer (creating and implementing security process to stop security breaches), information security manager (checking for flaws in computer systems/networks), cybersecurity engineer (creating and implementing safe network solutions), incident manager (using skills and resources to solve security events), cloud security engineer (creating and improving cloud based networks) and ethical hackers (testing networks and systems to see if they have flaws).

The blog post also talks about the cybersecurity salary in India, saying that network security engineers earn six to eight lakh annually while chief information security officers earn two to four crores every year. It also promotes RACE REVA’s Academy of Corporate Excellence as it can help students become successful technical experts in cybersecurity. Students will receive hands-on experience and practical instructions in multiple security technologies in order to successfully defend, identify and monitor security threats.
