Mumbai: R. D. & S. H. National College and S. W. A. Science College, affiliated with Mumbai University, have recently released the revised schedule for admissions to their prestigious M.Sc. (Data Science) - Part I program for the academic year 2023 - 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants seeking admission to the M.Sc. (Data Science) - Part I program must meet the following eligibility criteria:
1. Any Graduate with 50% and above marks at the TY level can apply.
Common Entrance Test (CET) Details
The admission to the program will be through a Common Entrance Test (CET), which will be conducted on Wednesday, 2nd August 2023. The CET will assess candidates' knowledge in various subjects related to data science. There will be no negative marking in the examination.
The syllabus for the Common Entrance Test for the Master's in Data Science includes the following sections:
1. English: English comprehension and vocabulary knowledge/an appropriate usage of a word/correct forms of words.
2. General Knowledge: Questions on History, Culture, Literature, Civics & Politics, Sports, Environmental Science, Technology, Behavioral Science & Psychology.
3. Logical Ability: Analogy, sequence, blood relations, predicate logic, and propositional logic.
4. Mathematics: Matrices and Determinants, Lattice theory and linear algebra, Differentiation and integration, 2-D and 3-D geometry, and Numerical methods.
5. Statistics: Elementary statistics - Aggregation and measure of central tendency, Probability and Random numbers, Discrete and continuous probability distributions, Hypothesis testing, and Operations research.
6. Computer Science: Algorithms and data structures, Operating environments and operating systems, Programming and software engineering, Finite state machines, Networking, and databases.
