Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University has invited applications for its Research Scholarship program for the 2025-26 session under Ordinance No. 9 and Regulation No. 223. The program aims to support full-time PhD researchers across specialized thematic areas, including the Indian Knowledge System, Regional Studies, and the works of Srimant Sankardev and Swami Vivekanand, as well as other general academic subjects.

Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur, a premier seat of higher learning in Chhattisgarh, has officially opened applications for its Research Scholarship program for the academic session 2025-26. Established as the oldest and largest institution of higher education in the state, PRSU has long been at the forefront of fostering academic excellence and regional research. This latest notification, issued under Ordinance No. 9 and Regulation No. 223, underscores the university's commitment to supporting scholars across a diverse range of disciplines, from traditional Vedic studies to contemporary regional linguistics.

For aspiring researchers, these fellowships represent a significant career milestone, providing not only a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 but also the institutional support necessary to conduct high-impact academic work. A total of 25 fellowship slots are available, with specific focuses including the work of Srimant Sankardev, Swami Vivekanand, the Indian Knowledge System, Regional Studies, and Regional Languages such as Chhattisgarhi and Sindi. Additionally, 16 fellowships are open to all other academic subjects, ensuring a broad scope of opportunity for scholars from various departments. This initiative is designed to alleviate the financial burden on full-time researchers, allowing them to dedicate their complete attention to their doctoral studies without the distraction of external employment.

To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 55% marks, though a 5% relaxation is provided for SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled candidates in line with UGC norms. Furthermore, applicants must have qualified for the PRSU Entrance Test or hold exemptions through national-level exams such as UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, GATE, or GPAT. Applicants must be registered under a recognized research supervisor at a designated center and be under the age of 35 at the time of application. Candidates must also ensure they do not hold any concurrent awards or stipends from other government bodies during the fellowship tenure.

The application process is strictly time-sensitive, with a final submission deadline of February 22, 2026. Prospective scholars must pay an application fee of ₹500 via the university’s online portal and submit the completed form along with necessary documentation, including research registration, synopsis, and academic transcripts, to the Academic Department. As these fellowships are highly competitive and require a full-time commitment, successful applicants will be expected to surrender any other dual funding and adhere to strict ethical and academic standards throughout their tenure.

At EduAdvice, we believe that financial support is the backbone of groundbreaking research. Opportunities like the PRSU Research Fellowship are vital for nurturing the next generation of thinkers and innovators. We encourage all eligible scholars to complete their applications well before the deadline and take this significant step toward their academic goals. Stay focused, stay informed, and let your research pave the way for a brighter future.
