Kolkata: West Bengal University of Health Science is going to promote research activities among all students studying under the University.

The West Bengal University of Health Science (WBUHS) is going to take certain initiative to promote the research activities among all the students of Undergraduate and Postgraduate/Post-doctoral trainees by various means. The Research activities by the University will be for the different courses being conducted in different affiliated Institutions of WBUHS.

In this view, University has decided to provide an incentive of Rs.10000/- to each four Undergraduate students and amount of Rs.15000/- to each Postgraduate/Post-doctoral trainees per year.

The candidates those who are interested for the Research activities, being conducted by the University can submit their application to the University maintaining the application protocol issued by ICMR in not more than 1000 words. The application submitted by the Candidates must be forward by the Head of the Institutions. The application must accompany the following detail:

1. Application, attestation form; authenticated by the HOD and Principal/Director.
2. Ethics Committee approval.
3. Informed consent
4. Case Study Form.
5. Study Questionnaire.
6. Details of Candidate (Name, Age, Gender, Address, Contact details including valid mobile number and email ID).

The detailed proposal of the case study will be divided into following ways:

1. Title of the Study.
2. Type of the Study.
3. Type and number of subjects to be recruited for the study.
4. Name of the Department.
5. Details of research proposal (Title, Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, implication and References).

The application submitted by the students will be screened by a committee formed by the University. The shortlisted candidates thereafter will be requiring being present their proposed research proposal before the University officials. The candidates those who will be selected will be informed and the monetary incentive will be transferred to their bank account at the end of the research. Once the candidate submit the letter of acceptance of the article written out of the research in some indexed journal as approved by NMC.

The last date of submission of the receipt of proposal, to the office of Dean, WBUHS, is 30^th April, 2022. The application to be submitted by the students have to be in triplicate to the Dean, WBUHS and the soft  copy along with necessary attachments must need to be mailed at dean.medicine@wbuhs.ac.in as informed by Dean,  Faculty of Modern Medicine, West Bengal University of Health Science.
