Kolkata: Presidency University is going to organize virtual talk on “The Curse, the Crisis and the Control: Amitav Ghosh’s Narration of the ‘New World’” on 28th April, 2022.
The Department of English under Presidency University will be organizing virtual talk on “The Curse, the Crisis and the Control: Amitav Ghosh’s Narration of the ‘New World’”. The Virtual Talk by the Presidency University will take place from 5:00p.m. to 6:30p.m IST.
With the world limping back to normalcy after COVID-19 pandemic, we must learn to live with Covid and with this it also bring with itself many other forms of biological and ecological crises. The pandemic has shown a biggest human failure as the disaster led by it was not imagined beforehand; hence it is an even more threating one.
The main motive of the virtual talk is that the way present climate crisis has assumed unimaginable proportions worldwide, how to control this crisis, who will control this crisis and being the member of Literature departments, how can literature department play role in coming out of this crisis situation.
Mr. Sajalkumar Bhattacharya Professor of Department of English, Kazi Nazrul University has been invited as the Speaker for the Virtual Talk.
