Pondicherry University Hosts International Lecture on Indian Knowledge System

The lecture series is being conducted in collaboration with Vishwagyan Peeth, Prayagraj, as part of a broader Language Technology Workshop initiative. Pondicherry: The Department of Hindi at Pondicherry University organised the 10th lecture under its ongoing International Lecture Series on Indian Knowledge System, titled “Bharateeya Shabd Yatra”, on April 25, 2026.

The lecture, delivered by noted Hindi scholar Tribhuvannath Shukla, focused on the topic “Pad Shabd ka Udbhav aur Vikas” (origin and development of words). The session explored the evolution of language and the significance of words in understanding Indian linguistic and cultural traditions.

Participants attending the sessions are also eligible to receive e-certificates. The lecture series is further linked with the SWAYAM MOOC programme on language technology, offering additional learning opportunities for interested learners.
