Haryana: The plantation drive in Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh launched by Vice-Chancellor Professor Tankeshwer Kumar on Wednesday by planting a tree at the new girl’s hostel premises. Professor Tankeshwer Kumar appealed to the students and residents of the University to plant more trees to make the campus green.
Shri Chandergupt, Range Officer, Forest Department said that the forest department planted 2000 trees last year in campus and will plant 2500 trees in the current monsoon season.
Prof. Surender Singh, Coordinator, Green Campus Clean Campus Club said that the species suitable for local climate like Pahari Papari, Pilkhan, sheesham, Neem and Bakain etc. will be planted to increase greenery in the campus. Professor Sunil Kumar, Registrar Prof. Pawan Kumar Maurya, Prof. Ranjan Aneja, Dr. Payal Chandel, Dr. Ranbir Singh, Dr. Mona Sharma, Sh. Rajesh Jangra, students and Dharmendra from forest department were also present on this occasion.
