Panjab University Releases Special Chance Online Exam Datesheet for September 2026

Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, has released the datesheet and examination guidelines for its special golden chance online examinations set to begin on September 9, 2026. Applicable to undergraduate students appearing for compulsory papers such as Environment and Drug Abuse, the online tests offer candidates a final opportunity to clear pending compartments and complete their degrees.

Panjab University Releases Special Chance Online Exam Datesheet for September 2026

The examination department of Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh have released the detailed datesheet and guidelines pertaining to special chance examinations for today, August 22, 2026. The information bulletin published by PU authorities is applicable for all undergraduate students who have applied for golden chance to appear in pending compartment/mercy chance examinations. As per the latest schedule, the special online examinations will commence from September 9, 2026. The enrolled students studying in different affiliated colleges in Chandigarh can view and download their subject wise datesheet from exams.puchd.ac.in

Special Online Exams Will Cover Compulsory Undergraduate Papers

As per the official notice issued by the Panjab University controller of exams, the online examinations will be held for the following compulsory papers:

  • Environment
  • Road Safety Education
  • Violence against Women and Children
  • Drug Abuse Problem

All interested undergraduates belonging to BA, B.Sc, B.Com and other streams who have enrolled for golden chance special examination can appear in the online tests. The examination hall ticket cum login details for appearing in web based tests will be available on the official site. Students are advised to login 20 minutes prior to the start time of examination.

Strict Guidelines Published for Smooth Conduct of Online Tests

The controller of examination of Panjab University has issued strict guidelines to all appearing students in order to avoid malpractice and technical errors during the online examination. All registered candidates must download their admit cards and carefully check their roll numbers before appearing in the online tests. On the day of examination, the students must log in to the official examination portal at least half an hour before the start of examination.

All candidates must remember that the online examination will be held through computer screen and no other mode will be considered feasible due to security reasons. A stable internet connection and desktop/laptop computers with working cameras will be mandatory for all test takers.

Instructions for Uploading Written Answer Sheets

The university has issued detailed guidelines regarding uploading of written answer sheets after completion of online examination. The students must keep aside 15 minutes after conclusion of examination for scanning of answer sheet. All pages of answer sheet must be clearly visible in PDF format so that no page goes missing during final submission. In case of any technical glitch during uploading of answer sheets, the candidates must immediately contact their respective college administrations or email the technical support team as mentioned in candidate guidelines.

This special online examination will offer a golden chance to many students who had failed to clear the basic papers during their graduation. The university authorities have warned that no further mercy chance will be granted to such candidates. All students who fail to appear in special chance examinations or remain unsuccessful in September 9 tests will have to re-enroll in the university under general regulations.
