Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh have officially released the result for the PU CET LL.M. Entrance Test 2026. The long wait for many students who wants to take admission in post-graduate law courses is finally over now. Candidates who appeared for the 1-year and 2-year LL.M. degree programs can now easily check their marks directly through the university online portal. The exam cell has uploaded the complete scorecards for all students who sat in this entrance test.
The entrance examination was conducted a few weeks ago at different examination centers across the city. A large number of law graduates had filled the application form and appeared for this test to secure their seats in the reputed university department. Now since the official result link is activated, candidates can view their marks and see if they qualified for the next round of admission process or not.

Checking the entrance result on the official website is very simple and easy process for everyone. Students does not need to visit the university office physically just to see their scorecard. Everything is available on the main examination website. First of all, you have to open the official website of Panjab University which is cetpg.puchd.ac.in or the main examination portal. On the home page, there is a direct link given for PU CET LL.M. Result 2026.
After clicking on that result link, a new page will open up on your screen. You have to enter your login details like Roll Number and Application Number in the box provided there. Make sure you enter correct information as given on your admit card. Once you click on submit button, your scorecard will show on the screen. Students should immediately save a copy of this mark sheet and take two or three printouts because it will be needed during document verification.
Important Details Included in the PU LL.M. Result Card :
When you download your official scorecard from the website, you should carefully verify all the information printed on it. The result card contains critical details like candidate's full name, roll number, category, total marks obtained in the entrance test, and the overall rank secured by the student. Sometimes typing mistakes happens in student names or roll numbers, so checking it early is very good habit.
If any candidate finds any error or mistake in their personal details on the scorecard, they must inform the examination authority immediately. The authority will fix these issue before the final merit list is prepared. Also, keep this digital copy saved safely in your phone or laptop. Understanding Cut-Off Marks and Merit List Preparation :
Now after the result declaration, the university admission committee will start preparing the merit list for 1-year and 2-year LL.M. programs separately. The final selection of students does not depend only on the entrance test marks. Instead, the total merit score is calculated by giving weightage to both the entrance test marks and the marks scored by candidate in their qualifying LL.B. degree exam.
Different categories like General, SC, ST, OBC, and PH candidates will have different cut-off marks as per university rules. What Happens Next: Counseling and Document Verification Schedule :
Candidates who clears the entrance test and secures a place in the merit list will be called for the physical counseling session. During counseling, seat allocation will be done purely based on the rank obtained by the applicant and seat availability in various law branches. You must be physically present at the department along with all your original documents on the given date and time.
The main documents required for verification includes your Class 10th and 12th certificates, LL.B. degree marksheets, PU CET LL.M. scorecard, category certificate if applicable, and recent passport size photos. If any student fails to bring original documents or misses the counseling date, their seat will be automatically given to the next candidate in the queue. After document checking is done successfully, you will have to pay the semester admission fees to confirm your seat for the 2026 academic batch.
