Jalandhar - Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, has officially released its Faculty Recruitment Notification 2026.For the appointment of Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors in various academic departments. The recruitment drive aims to fill a large number of teaching positions under different pay levels as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).
According to the notification, the online application link will open on 22 January, 2026 and the last date to submit the application is 27 February, 2026. Eligible candidates must apply online through the prescribed format available on the Institute's official website.
For the post of Assistant Professor (Grade-II), Pay level 10, vacancies are available in departments such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Mathematics and Computing Textile Technology, Humanities and Management, Instrumentation and Control Engineering and Industrial and Production Engineering. A total of 34 vacancies have been notified at this level across different categories.
Additionally, Assistant Professor posts at Pay Level 12 have been announced in key departments including Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Instrumentation and Control Engineering with multiple category-wise vacancies.
For senior positions, the institute has also advertised Associate Professor (Pay Level 13A2) and Professor (Pay Level 14A) posts in disciplines such as Biotechnology, Computer science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics and Computing, Physics, Chemistry, Textile technology, Humanities and Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Industrial and Production Engineering. As per the notification, around 30 Associate Professor and 15 Professor posts are to be filled.
