New Delhi :- The Department of Commerce and Business Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) organized a grand orientation program to welcome newly admitted students. The event, held at the department witnessed a massive turnout of over 100 eager and enthusiastic students.
The event commenced with a warm and cordial welcome address by Prof. Devendra Kumar Dhusia, the Head of the Department, who extended heartfelt greetings to the newly admitted students and Ph.D. Scholars. Prof. Atiquar Rehman, Chief Proctor, JMI was the Chief Guest of the function.
Prof. Dhusia emphasized the university’s commitment to provide a holistic and transformative education, empowering students to become future leaders and change-makers in the corporate world. He also acquainted students with the history of JMI and the contribution of its founders.
Prof. Atiquar Rehman in his address inspired the students to strive for excellence in their academic journey and encouraged them to participate actively in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities to enrich their overall development. He shared invaluable insights from his vast experience in academia, igniting a spark of determination and enthusiasm in the young minds present.
The orientation program featured informative sessions about the department’s curriculum, academic policies, and support services available to the students. Faculty members and senior students also shared their experiences, tips, and tricks to excel in academics and make the most of their time at the university.
Throughout the event, the energy and excitement among the newly admitted students of Ph.D M.Com (Business Management), BBA, B.Com(H) were palpable. They actively interacted with each other, forming new bonds and friendships that would undoubtedly enhance their university experience.
The orientation program concluded on a high note, leaving the students with a renewed sense of purpose and determination to excel in their studies and embrace all the opportunities the university has to offer.
