Organic manure boon to increase the fertility of the land: Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar

:- The Vice Chancellor said that this unit set up in the Centre for Innovation and Incubation would not only prove useful for the trees and plants of the University, but the farmers of the area would also be made aware of the method and importance of preparing organic manure prepared by earthworms

 

Haryana: At present, the indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides is not only affecting the health of human beings, but the fertility of the land is also getting weakened continuously. In addition, they are affecting the nutritional value of the crops. On one hand the land is becoming barren due to continuous use of chemical fertilizers. On the other hand, human beings are getting trapped in the web of various types of skin diseases, cancer and other incurable diseases. To avoid this, we should emphasize on the use of naturally prepared manure. Naturally prepared organic manure will prove helpful in increasing the health of man as well as in increasing the fertility of the land. This view was shared by the Vice Chancellor of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar during the visit of the Vermi Compost Unit set up by the Centre for Innovation and Incubation in the University campus.

The Vice Chancellor said that this unit set up in the Centre for Innovation and Incubation would not only prove useful for the trees and plants of the University, but the farmers of the area would also be made aware of the method and importance of preparing organic manure prepared by earthworms. 

Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Convener, Centre for Innovation and Incubation said that under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, the employees looking after the work of horticulture in the University have been given training to make organic manure. On this occasion the Registrar of the University Prof. Sunil Kumar said that this effort of Centre for Innovation and Incubation will prove useful for disease free life and fertile land. 

On this occasion, members of Centre for Innovation and Incubation and Dean of School of Long Life Learning Prof. Pawan Kumar Maurya, Sunil Kumar, Assistant Engineer Mukesh Kumar, Ankush, Sandeep etc. were present.
