OPSC Extends Application Deadline for Civil Services Exam 2026

The Odisha Public Service Commission has extended the application deadline for the Civil Services Examination 2026 to 12th March 2026. With only a couple of days remaining, interested candidates should urgently visit the official portal to complete their registration for one of the 465 available administrative and police service positions. This is the final opportunity to apply for this cycle, so be sure to review your eligibility and submit your application before the 5:00 PM cutoff to secure your chance at a career in state administration.

Bhubaneswar, Odisha: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has officially announced a further extension for the online application process for the prestigious Odisha Civil Services Examination (OCSE) 2025. In a recent update, the Commission has pushed the final submission deadline to 12th March 2026, at 5:00 PM. This marks the third extension for the application window, and the OPSC has clarified that no further extensions will be granted. Interested candidates are urged to complete their registration and submission process before the deadline to avoid technical complications.

The current recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 465 vacancies across various Group-A and Group-B services under the Odisha State Government. These positions include prestigious roles such as the Odisha Administrative Service, Odisha Police Service, Odisha Revenue Service, and others. Notably, 154 of these posts are reserved for women, and the recruitment is also open to third-gender and transgender candidates. To be eligible, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and possess proficiency in the Odia language, meaning they must be able to read, write, and speak it. Applicants must be between 21 and 42 years of age as of 1st January 2025, with age relaxations available for SC, ST, SEBC, women, PwD, and ex-servicemen categories.

The selection process consists of three rigorous stages: the Preliminary Examination, which is objective in nature; the Main Examination, which is descriptive; and a final Personality Test, which is an interview. The Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled for 7th June 2026. Candidates are advised to visit the official OPSC website to review the full advertisement and complete their applications.
