Mahendergarh: The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh marked the grand inauguration of a one-week online Short-Term Program on Leadership Development under the prestigious Malviya Mission Teachers Training Centre (MMTTC). The program aims to equip faculty members with leadership skills essential in the evolving educational landscape.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of CUH, in his inaugural speech, underlined the importance and relevance of leadership development for faculty members in the current educational scenario. He spoke about the necessity of academic leadership in ensuring the holistic growth of institutions, students, and society at large.
The inaugural session commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof.Parmod Kumar, Director, MMTTC, CUH, who emphasized the significance of fostering leadership abilities among educators. He highlighted the critical role of leadership in academia and its influence on institutional growth and student development.
Following the welcome, Prof.SunitaTanwar, Programme Coordinator and Head, Department of Management Studies, CUH, provided a comprehensive introduction to the program. She outlined the key objectives, structure, and expected outcomes of the initiative, stressing how leadership in education can drive innovation and excellence.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. R.P. Meena, Programme Coordinator, and Head, Department of Commerce, CUH. He expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers for their invaluable contributions to the program’s success.
The Leadership Development program will feature 24 expert-led sessions all from experts over the country, interactive discussions, and case studies to enhance the leadership skills of faculty members, ultimately contributing to the advancement of higher education in India. In all 130 faculty members have joined the session.
