NTA to set up Fact Finding Committee on Kerala Incident

:- The committee has been set up in pursuance of the directions of the Ministry of Education

 

Kerala: NTA has set up a Fact-Finding Committee on the inhumane incident that occurred on July 17, 2022 during the NEET UG Examination. The committee has been set up in pursuance of the directions of the Ministry of Education.

The fact-finding committee is set up to ascertain the facts on the spot about the incident.

The committee comprises of: Dr. Sadhana Parashar, Senior Director, NTA, Smt. Shylaja O R Principal, Saraswathi Vidyalaya Arappura Vattiyoorkavu, Thiruvanthapuram, Kerala, and Ms. Suchitra Shyjinth Pragati Academy, Perumbavoor Ernakulam, Kerala.

This fact-finding committee will visit the spot and verify the facts by talking to all the concerned persons. The committee will also see whether the security/frisking Protocols of NTA as detailed in “Chapter 9: Barred Items and Dress Code” of Information Bulletin, as well as “Chapter 3: Para 3.13 of NTA NEET(UG)-2022 Guidelines for City Coordinators, Centre Superintendents, Observers & Invigilators, were followed. And the necessary recommendations will be made.

Committee will submit the report in 4 weeks.

The incident occurred in the Kollam district of Kerala, where during the security check for the NEET UG Examination, the female candidates were forced to remove their innerwear for unauthorized material.
