The National Testing Agency (NTA) published a notice warning prospective NEET (UG) 2026 candidates and their parents to be on guard against bogus websites and fraudulent postings on social media, as well as those who offer to provide exam papers or answer keys.
To safeguard the integrity, transparency, and fairness of the examination process, the NTA has set up a special reporting mechanism of NEET (UG) 2026 for suspicious behaviors. This mechanism will allow candidates to report unauthorized websites, social media, and messaging accounts, and individuals who offer question papers and answer keys, as well as leaked papers and pay-for-play guaranteed results.
The NTA also requested candidates to report individuals who are misrepresenting NTA employees and exam officials, as well as those who are engaging in fraudulent and misleading activities that will cause fear and panic to candidates and their parents.
In the notice, the NTA stated the reporting mechanism will allow users to provide a description of the suspicious activity and include evidence, such as time/date-stamped screenshots, links, and documents.
The NTA also stated that, for NEET (UG) 2026, no one has access to the exam question papers ahead of their scheduled administration. The NTA also assured candidates and parents that any claims to the contrary are false and advised them to refrain from participating in and disseminating unverified claims and to wait for announcements from the NTA.
The agency said it is collaborating with the Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check Unit and law enforcement to detect and respond to deceitful and fraudulent acts associated with NEET (UG) 2026. NTA appreciated the collaboration of the candidates, parents, educational institutions, and the public in maintaining the credibility and integrity of the examination process.
