New Delhil. : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online applications for the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2026. These national-level entrance examinations are conducted for admission to DBT-supported postgraduate biotechnology programmes (GAT-B) and for awarding the DBT-Junior Research Fellowship (BET) in advanced areas of biotechnology.
The online application process has started from March 19, 2026, and will continue until April 9, 2026 (5:00 PM). Candidates can pay the examination fee till April 9, 2026 (11:50 PM), while the correction window will be open from April 11 to April 13, 2026.
The GAT-B/BET 2026 examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026 (Sunday) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. GAT-B will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, while BET will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The duration of each exam is 3 hours, and the question paper will be in English.
Candidates can apply for either GAT-B, BET, or both exams through online mode only. Submission of multiple application forms by a single candidate will not be accepted.
