Mahendergarh : The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh inaugurated its 7 days Annual Camp with great enthusiasm. The event was held at Prof.Moolchand Auditorium,where students, faculty members, and dignitaries gathered to mark the beginning of a week-long program dedicated to community service and skill development.Sh. StayavartaShatri was the keynote speaker of the event.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Professor Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice- chancellor, who encouraged the volunteers to actively participate in social initiatives and contribute towards nation-building. In his address he emphasized the role of youth in shaping a better society through dedicated service and leadership.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by an inspiring speech by Dr. Pradeep Kumar, NSS Co-ordinator. He highlighted the significance of the NSS in fostering social responsibility among students and urged them to make a meaningful impact in the lives of the underprivileged.
After this Dr.Yudhvir, Program Officer highlighted the glimpse of NSS achievements and activities and inspired the students to work hard. Volunteers of university has attended different National Integration Camps organised at different places. Adventure camp at Himachal Pradesh, Republic Day parade etc.
Shri StayavartaShatri said that Haryana, known as the "Land of Warriors," has a rich history of bravery, culture, and agricultural excellence. It has contributed immensely to India's defense forces, sports, and economy, with a strong presence in wrestling, hockey, and other fields. The National Service Scheme (NSS) plays a vital role in shaping responsible youth by promoting social service, leadership, and community development. Through activities like cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, and literacy programs, NSS instils values of selfless service and national integration, making a significant impact on society.
Dr.MukeshUpadhayay, Program Officersaid that during the camp, NSS volunteers will engage in various activities, including cleanliness drives, health awareness programs, tree plantations, literacy campaigns, and self-employment workshops. The camp aims to instil values of selfless service, teamwork, and discipline among the participants.
The inauguration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr.Neelam, program officer, expressing gratitude to all attendees and reaffirming the commitment of NSS volunteers to work for the welfare of society.
