Entrance Exams and Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for NIU admissions are in accordance with the applicable UGC/AICTE/BCI guidelines and vary by programme. For the B.Tech programme, a student must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and secured 45% marks in aggregate.

For the remaining undergraduate programmes in Business Administration, Computer Applications, Commerce, and Arts, candidates must have completed Class 12 with an aggregate of 45% to 50%. For B.Pharm, candidates must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics. For the admission of five-year programmes in Law, the Board of Certificates has revised the norms to state the completion of Class 12 at 45%, with no upper age limit.

The admission process is entirely online. Candidates must register at niu.edu.in, select the programme, apply, upload Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, marksheet of the peripheral entrance examination, pay the processing fee and submit.
