Mumbai : Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts, a liberal arts college affiliated to NMIMS (Deemed to be University) has opened their admissions for the batch of 2023-24. NMIMS has  received Category-I Autonomy Status with an NAAC score of 3.59 and a grade of A+. Read this article to know more about the admission process and eligibility.

Course Structure

B.A (Hons.) Liberal Arts program at JDSOLA provide students with a transdisciplinary course structure which includes Humanities and Social Sciences with Natural Sciences, Creative and Performing Arts. They not only provide education which is beyond textbooks but also includes a lot of interactive activities for students like workshops, field trips, visits etc. for regular community engagement. It is a three year program consisting of Core courses which are subjects from seven major liberal arts fields. Enablers help students improve their academic, creative, and career-related talents. Students can pursue their extracurricular interests through Creatives. Projects include hands-on learning as well as research or seminar-style activities in which students critically explore the world around them using tools and methods from a variety of professions. 

Eligibility and How to Apply.

The eligibility criteria is completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognised board with at least 60% aggregate marks. The intake in the program is through an online entrance test NMIMS-NPAT. It is an online computer based test. The test assesses quantitative and numerical ability, reasoning and general intelligence, and English language proficiency. The Application for 2023 form has been opened. About NMIMS Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts

In 2016, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai established an undergraduate Liberal Arts course under Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts. This course provides a broad foundation across disciplines which they believe is essential for overall development of the student. Liberal Arts course in NMIMS as they develop critical and analytical skills within students, inculcating critical thinking and problem solving within them. It prepares their students to approach challenges with a positive perspective, think critically, approach difficulties through a number of lenses, and develop real-world solutions.Though the core courses of this program are based in the Humanities and Social Sciences, it also focuses on developing our students' scientific attitudes and thinking. It aims at developing some key areas like research skills, critical and analytical skills, transdisciplinarity etc.
