NLSIU opens applications for research assistant for public health project, deadline is January 9

Two positions require research assistants, while the other two require a lawyer and a legal consultant.

 

New Delhi. : The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) currently has applications open for positions in four research projects, with the deadlines for application submission all being in January. Two positions require research assistants, while the other two require a lawyer and a legal consultant.

The first project requiring a research assistant is the ‘Project on Public Health in the Indian Constitution’. This project’s objective is to create a compendium of edited cases and materials on public health and the Indian Constitution. It will involve a survey of leading cases from India’s Supreme Court and state high courts on public health themes like regulations on drugs and medical devices, rare diseases, nutrition support, etc.

Research assistants must help conduct literature reviews, organize relevant material and cases, research contemporary themes and write notes about issues about health and law. They must also help in preparing and conducting workshops on Law and Health. This is a full-time role with a duration of four months, and will be based out of the NLSIU Bangalore campus. The deadline for submitting applications is January 9 (Monday).

Applicants need a law degree from a recognized university, along with having prior research and writing experience, being able to use different legal research databases, an interest in health law or constitutional law, skills in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel, and being able to work with a team, helping to make progress in individual and team goals.
