NLSIU, Harvard Law School Invite Applications for CopyrightX Course

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), in collaboration with Harvard Law School (HLS), has invited applications for ‘CopyrightX: NLSIU’, a comparative copyright law course to be offered in the upcoming trimester.

Bengaluru: The eight-week hybrid course will run from March 2 to April 30, 2026, and is affiliated with the CopyrightX programme taught at Harvard Law School by Professors William Fisher and Ruth Okediji. The course is open to students and professionals from across South Asia.

The programme will examine copyright law from a comparative perspective, with a focus on Indian and US copyright regimes. It will also explore the impact of artificial intelligence on copyright law, including ongoing global litigation and reform debates.

Key details:

  • Mode: Hybrid (online for external candidates; on-campus for NLSIU students)

  • Application deadline: January 14, 2026 (11:59 pm IST)

  • Fee: Rs 50,000 plus taxes (full fee waiver for eligible students from publicly funded universities.

 

According to the circular, the final examination will be administered primarily by HLS. Successful candidates who meet attendance and assessment requirements will receive a certificate from Harvard Law School.
