NIT Karnataka to Host NIT Deans’ Conclave 2026 on Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Karnataka: The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NIT Karnataka) will host the All-India NIT Deans’ Conclave on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem from September 24 to 25, 2026, in order to allow academic and innovation leaders from across the National Institutes of Technology network to deliberate on research to products, technologies and startups.
The two-day conclave will gather more than 50 delegates from 30 NITs, including Deans (Research), Associate Deans, heads of startup incubators and coordinators of Institute Innovation Councils, to discuss research translation, product innovation, technology licensing and startup incubation. The event has relevance to higher-education institutions which are looking to go beyond research publications to see how academic ideas can be protected, developed and translated to solutions with a wider social and commercial application.

The conclave follows a Council of NITs resolution which tasked NIT Karnataka with the responsibility of sharing their Innovation and Entrepreneurship policy for adaptation across the NIT system.
