NIT Arunachal JEE Cutoff 2026 Expected Ranks Released as Admission Trends Highlight Course Wise Competition

Expected JEE Main 2026 cutoff for NIT Arunachal Pradesh indicates varying opening and closing ranks across branches. Detailed trends reveal how competitive each course could be this year.

The expected JEE Main 2026 cutoff for admission into the National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh has drawn attention among engineering aspirants, offering insight into course wise competition and admission chances. Cutoffs are released in the form of opening and closing ranks through JoSAA counselling, with opening rank representing the first admitted candidate and closing rank marking the last admitted candidate in a round.

Based on recent trends and previous year data, the expected cutoff range for the General category is likely to fall broadly between around 44,000 to 1,09,600 ranks, depending on the course and quota.

Course Wise Expected Cutoff Trends

  • Computer Science and Engineering remains the most competitive branch, with expected closing ranks roughly in the 60,000 to 68,000 range, while earlier rounds may see significantly lower opening ranks.
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering is expected to close between 1,00,000 to 1,15,000 ranks, reflecting moderate demand.
  • Electrical Engineering may see closing ranks around 1,60,000 to 1,70,000, indicating comparatively easier access.
  • Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering are likely to close beyond 1,50,000 ranks, making them more accessible options for students with higher ranks.
  • Biosciences and Bioengineering tends to have the highest closing ranks, often exceeding 1,80,000, making it among the least competitive branches.

The data suggests that while Computer Science continues to dominate in demand, newer NITs like NIT Arunachal Pradesh offer broader accessibility across multiple branches, especially for candidates with mid to higher rank ranges. Cutoff variations depend on several factors including the number of applicants, exam difficulty level, and seat availability, making final ranks subject to change after each counselling round.

Overall, the expected cutoff trends for 2026 highlight a balanced admission landscape where both high ranking and mid range candidates can find opportunities across different engineering disciplines.
