The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Hyderabad took top place in the previous year. This year, however, the institution fell to second place. Panjab University saw a sharp drop in its standing in 2022, going from third to eighth. The university has improved slightly this year, though, and is now ranked seventh in 2024.
Maharashtra has become a prominent centre for pharmaceutical higher education, with 16 institutes ranking in the top 100. There are 5 institutes in Mumbai and 5 in Pune and other 6 in different states.
