NIF Recruitment 2026: Eligibility and Educational Qualifications

Applicants must be Indian citizens and possess the prescribed educational qualifications and experience for the post they wish to apply for.

Administrative Officer

For direct recruitment:

  • Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute.

  • At least five years of experience at Pay Level 7 or equivalent in a Central Government organisation, autonomous body, public sector undertaking or university, in a managerial and supervisory capacity.

For deputation/absorption:

  • Graduate degree in any discipline.

  • Relevant experience in government departments, universities, recognised research institutions or statutory/autonomous organisations.

  • Applicants must meet the prescribed regular-service and pay-level requirements, including the specified analogous-post or qualifying service conditions.

Finance Officer

For direct recruitment:

  • Graduate degree in Commerce from a recognised university or institute.

  • At least five years of regular service in the finance and accounts cadre or establishment at Pay Level 7 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

For deputation/absorption:

  • Graduate degree in Commerce.

  • Relevant experience in government departments, universities, recognised research institutions or statutory/autonomous organisations.

  • Applicants must meet the prescribed analogous-post or qualifying service requirements at the specified pay levels.

PS to Director

For direct recruitment:

  • Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute.

  • Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi.

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and database management applications.

  • Stenographic skill at 80 words per minute.

  • Five years of experience as a Personal Assistant or equivalent in a government organisation, public sector undertaking, research institution, autonomous body or other recognised institution.

For deputation/absorption:

  • Graduate degree in any discipline.

  • Relevant experience in government departments, universities, recognised research institutions or statutory/autonomous organisations.

  • The prescribed regular-service and pay-level conditions must be fulfilled.

Admin Assistant

  • Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute.

  • Two years of experience in a government or semi-government organisation, autonomous institution or public sector undertaking.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in general administration, establishment, purchase or stores.

Finance Assistant

  • Graduate degree in Commerce from a recognised university or institute.

  • Two years of experience in a government or semi-government organisation, autonomous institution or public sector undertaking.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in finance, accounting and Tally software.

Application Fee

The application fee details are as follows:

  • General/Unreserved, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹1,000

  • SC/ST/PwBD candidates: Exempted

  • Women candidates: Exempted

Age Limit and Relaxation
