Two Designer/Faculty positions at Pay Level 10 and five Associate Senior Faculty/Designer (Assistant Professor) positions at Pay Level 11 under the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix will be filled through this process.

Designer/Faculty positions consist of one ST and one UR post, and Assistant Professor posts comprise of three OBC, one EWS and one UR post. These are regular Group A positions. The detailed recruitment rules indicate a two-year probation period for directly recruited candidates.

Eligibility for Designer/Faculty Post

For the Designer/Faculty Post, candidates should have a Degree or Diploma in Design from a recognized university or a reputed institution. Having a Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Design is preferable.

The recruitment is looking to fill expertise in the following areas:

• Service and system design
• Design thinking
• Ergonomics
• Pedagogy
• Automobile and mobility
• Ceramic and glass
• CMF and non-textile materials
• New media and film design
• Animation
• Drawing (including Analytical drawing)
• Basic design
• Craft and community projects

The maximum age is 45 years, and the minimum design experience is five years.

Associate Senior Faculty/Designer (Assistant Professor) Eligibility

To apply for the Associate Senior Faculty/Designer (Assistant Professor) position, candidates must have a Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Design from a recognised university or reputed institution. Having a Doctorate in Design is preferable.

The specialisations are Service design, System design, Design thinking, Ergonomics, Pedagogy, Automobile and Mobility, Ceramic and Glass, CMF/non-textile materials, New Media and Film Design, Animation, Drawing and Geometric Construction, Craft-Based Community Experience. The maximum age is 50 years, with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience.

NID MP Recruitment 2026: Application Process

This is important to note: The application process is offline. Candidates are required to complete the application form that's provided, include documents related to their education and work experience, their photograph and certificates (if applicable), compile everything into an envelope, and send it via Registered/Speed Post. The application fee for all candidates in the UR, EWS and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories is ₹1,000 per post, payable through Demand Draft in favor of “National Institute of Design Madhya Pradesh,” payable at Bhopal.

SC, ST, PwD, Ex-Servicemen and women candidates are exempt from the application fee. The Institute requires supporting certificates for all qualifications and experience mentioned and relevant category claims. Government, semi-government, autonomous body and PSU employees must also submit a NOC and Vigilance Clearance.

Selection Process

NID MP may use one or more methods, including Group Discussion, presentation, teaching demonstration and interview, depending on the recruitment requirements. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the selection process.
