NEET UG 2026 Refund: Last Chance to Update Bank Details Before June 30

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced a final opportunity for NEET UG 2026 candidates to update bank account information via a correction window. This will be the account information used for a refund of the examination fee for the cancelled NEET on May 3. This opportunity will be available until June 30, 2026.

NEET UG 2026 Refund: Last Chance to Update Bank Details

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided candidates one last chance to verify or update their bank account information so that NTA can issue bank refunds for the NEET UG 2026 exam fees. According to the public notice on June 25, 2026, the account information will be available for correction on the official NEET portal from June 25, to June 30, 2026, at 11:55 PM. The NTA confirmed that the examination fees will be refunded and transferred to the candidates’ bank accounts.

The NTA stated that approximately 20 lakh candidates participated in the NEET UG 2026 exam, which was successfully conducted on June 21, 2026. The results of that exam are currently being processed.

Highlights:

  • Final opportunity to confirm or update bank account details
  • Window open from June 25 to June 30, 2026 (11:55 PM)
  • Applicable for the refund of exam fee of the cancelled May 3, 2026, NEET UG exam
  • OTP-based 2FA is mandatory for verification
  • Candidates are allowed to change their prior "No Refund" selection
  • Refund will be processed to the bank account that is verified and confirmed on the portal

NTA Reopens Refund Window: Why?

NTA previously asked candidates to provide their bank account details to process refunds after the May 3 examination was canceled. While correcting account details was allowed during the admit card download process, many candidates reported incorrect account numbers and IFSC codes. NTA reopened the correction facility.

Since many candidates were busy with the admit card download before the exam, many others were unable to either verify or update their bank account details. NTA also received requests from candidates who originally opted for "No Refund" but now want a refund.

NTA opened the correction facility one last time to ensure no eligible candidate misses the refund.

What Options Are Candidates Given?

Once candidates log in to the NEET UG portal, they will see the previously displayed bank account details. At this point, they can choose to do one of the following:

  • Leave the bank account details as they are.

  • Choose the "No Refund" option.

Important Notice Regarding Bank Details by NTA

Submission of bank details means that candidates should be completely sure of the bank details since the discrepancy will lead to the refund being sent to the account and IFSC details provided by the candidates. NTA has mentioned that the bank transfers from NTA will be to the account details provided by the candidates; the bank details should be provided with utmost care.

Candidates are suggested to:

  • Provide details of an account that is either their own account or their parents' account, a family account, or a joint account, as applicable.
  • NEVER share any Login credentials, passwords, or OTP with anyone.

NEET UG 2026 Result Update

The NTA anticipated that about 2 million individuals would have participated in the NEET UG 2026 exam that occurred on June 21, and that the exam would have taken place without significant disruption to any of the 2 million individuals, who the NTA expected would have participated in the exam. The NTA said that they are currently in the process of completing the exam and that they will publish results as soon as they are able. Given that the exam will be completed, and results published in the foreseeable future, candidates are advised to check the official NEET site regularly to learn news on the status of the unclaimed refunds and results.
