NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam to be One of the Largest Exams Ever Held in India
The pressure on the exam authorities to prepare for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam, set to take place on June 21, is understandable given the number of students participating. What seems like a simple, straightforward process to an individual student heading to an exam center is, in fact, a huge and convoluted administrative task. Students carry their admit cards, complete security checks, and take the exam. Meanwhile, lakhs of personnel, security agencies, district personnel, and exam officials are working long hours to ensure that everything goes as planned.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made and announced extensive plans for the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam on June 21, conducted in the paper-and-pencil format. According to the NTA’s press release, the exam is to be conducted in 551 cities in India and 14 international locations, with more than 22.79 lakh candidates expected to appear for the exam.
