New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a reduction in the qualifying percentile for NEET-SS 2025 from the 50th percentile to the 30th percentile. The decision follows the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) letter dated September 22, 2026, and references the Supreme Court of India order dated September 17, 2026, in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 771 of 2026.
Following the reduction in the qualifying percentile, NBEMS has shared the revised NEET-SS 2025 result with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), MoHFW, Government of India.
NEET-SS 2025 Revised Qualifying Criteria
Candidates who have secured 30th percentile or above in their respective NEET-SS 2025 Question Paper Groups have been declared qualified.
The group-specific qualifying cut-off scores, out of 600, are as follows:

NEET-SS 2025 Rank and Scorecard
NBEMS has clarified that there is no change in the Question Paper Group-specific rank declared on January 23, 2026.
The revised qualifying percentile does not result in the issuance of fresh scorecards. No new scorecards will be released.
MBBS Marks to Be Verified During Admission
The aggregate marks in percentage obtained by candidates in all MBBS Professional Examinations, as provided in their NEET-SS 2025 application forms, will be verified against the candidates’ original credentials at the time of admission.
The scorecards issued to candidates contain a mention of the MBBS aggregate marks wherever these marks were used to resolve a tie in the NEET-SS 2025 rank.
If the information provided in the application form is found to be incorrect and the MBBS aggregate marks were used for resolving the candidate’s tie, the candidate’s NEET-SS 2025 candidature will be cancelled.
Warning Against Unfair Means
NBEMS has also reiterated that candidates found to have used unfair means at any stage of the examination process may face penal action as deemed appropriate by NBEMS, MCC or the concerned counselling authority.
If a candidate who has used unfair means is declared successful in NEET-SS 2025, their result or candidature may be cancelled or treated as cancelled.
