NEET PG 2025 Counselling Round 2: MCC Revises Dates, Registration to Begin on December 5
New Delhi. : The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released an updated schedule for Round 2 of NEET PG 2025 counselling under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) for MD, MS, and PG Diploma programmes. As per the revised timeline, online registration for Round 2 will begin at 12 pm on December 5, 2025, marking a shift from the earlier announced dates.
The registration window will remain open until 12 noon on December 9, while the payment facility will be available until 3 pm on the same day.
Updated Choice Filling & Locking Window
- Candidates will be able to fill in and lock their choices from December 6 to December 9, up to 11:55 pm.
- The dedicated choice-locking window will open at 4 pm on December 9 and close at 11:55 pm.
- Following this, seat allotment processing will be carried out on December 10 and 11, and the Round 2 allotment results will be published on December 12, 2025.
Verification & Reporting Timeline
- Once seats are allotted, candidates must report to their allotted college between December 13 and December 21 to complete joining formalities.
- The verification of data for candidates who join will be conducted from December 22 to December 23.
- These steps fall under a four-round counselling system that also includes Round 3 and an Online Stray Vacancy Round, which will be conducted based on seat availability.
- Before rolling out this revised schedule, the MCC updated the seat matrix by adding 239 PG seats in deemed universities and removing 235 PG-DNB seats from government and private institutions.

How to Register for NEET PG 2025 Round 2
Eligible candidates must complete the following steps through the official MCC portal:
- Visit mcc.nic.in
- Go to the ‘PG Medical’ section
- Select ‘New Registration 2025’
- Log in using NEET PG roll number and password
- Pay the required registration fee
- Fill and lock choices during the stipulated window
Only candidates who complete registration, fee payment, choice filling, and choice locking within the specified timelines will be considered for Round 2 allotment.
