New Delhi, 2025 — The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a revised schedule for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2025, which is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs in Indian institutions.
Originally slated for 26th and 27th July 2025, the examination has now been rescheduled to 28th July 2025 to avoid a clash with the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2024, which is also scheduled on the same dates.
According to the NTA, the decision to shift the exam was taken following numerous requests and representations from students concerned about overlapping examination dates.
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET will now be held on a single day — Sunday, 28th July 2025 — for all five subjects:
- Mathematical Sciences
- Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
- Chemical Sciences
- Life Sciences
- Physical Sciences
Candidates can expect the Advance City Intimation Slip to be released 8 to 10 days prior to the exam date. This slip will inform them of the city where their examination center is located.
The NTA has advised all candidates to regularly check the official websites — www.nta.ac.in and csirnet.nta.ac.in — for the latest updates and further announcements.
This move is expected to help thousands of aspirants avoid scheduling conflicts and ensure fair opportunity for all candidates preparing for multiple competitive exams.
