On occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, National Seminar organized

Mahendragarh : On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the School of Engineering and Technology organized a national seminar on 'Gandhi: A saint with multi-dimensional Personality' at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh. On this occasion, Mr. Suresh Jain, National Organizational Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad,  was present as the chief guest and the first lady of the University and Vice President of Vigyan Bharti Haryana, Prof. Sunita Srivastava was present as the guest of honour. The chief patron of this program in the University was the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar and the Pro- Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sushma Yadav was present as the patron.


Shri Suresh Jain said that today is the day to learn by being introverted. Mahatma Gandhi was a man of the century. In the history of any country, such a personality is born after several hundred years who has god-like thoughts. In his address, Mr. Suresh Jain said that Gandhi Ji had been following truth since childhood as a saint. He always followed truth and non-violence and first of all applied it on himself. Gandhi Ji created such a discourse which resulted in the path of gram vikas, empowering the exploited, eliminating the feeling of inferiority towards Dalits, using Swadeshi to make the society superior, cultured and self-reliant.

In his address, the chief speaker described the role of youth as important and said that the government can formulate policies but its successful implementation and change through it will come only with the resolve of the youth power. He said that as far as India is concerned, it is very capable and can fulfill all our needs. At the end of his speech, he described Mahatma Gandhi as a saint. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, while expressing gratitude towards this seminar organized by the students and teachers and the chief guest involved in it, said that Mahatma Gandhi and his thoughts were the need of that period in the fight for India's independence. Subhash Chandra Bose, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bhagat Singh also hold an important place in India's independence. Everyone contributed to this fight in their own way. Referring to Lord Shri Ram, Shri Krishna, the Vice Chancellor said that they also fought against injustice by behaving according to their times. Even in today's time, it is important that we understand how India will develop and the benefits of this development will reach the person standing at the last rung. The role of students is important in this direction and they will definitely live up to the expectations and aspirations.


Prof. Sushma Yadav, while expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest and the Vice Chancellor of the University, said that Mahatma Gandhi was a saint. He walked on the path of truth and non-violence and calling himself a Sanatani Hindu, he expressed faith in the Varnashram system and at the same time he also strongly opposed the evil practice of caste system. Prof. Sushma Yadav inspired the participants to learn from the life of Mahatma Gandhi and adopt the habit of self-study. She said that to become a saint, it is necessary that we should abandon petty attractions and greed and think about the welfare of humanity. At the end of the event, Swachhata Sahayogis working for cleanliness in the University were felicitated.

On this occasion, the chief guest along with senior officials, teachers, students and researchers of the University also did Shramdaan for cleanliness. Prof. Phool Singh, Prof. Akash Saxena, Prof. Vikas Garg, Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Rajendra Meena, Dr. Manish Kumar, Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Dr. Sumit Saini, Dr. Bharti Batra, Dr. Dushyant Kumar, Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Dr. Mohit Kumar, Ms. Sangeeta, Mr. Shammi Mehra and student associates Akshatkant and Ramesh Vishnoi made important contributions in the successful organization of this program in the University.
