National Overseas Scholarship 2023 registration begins

The NOS portal will be live from 15th February 2023 to 31st March 2023.

New Delhi: Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has begun the registration for National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) for the selection year 2023-24. Eligible candidates can apply at their official website-https://nosmsje.gov.in/.

As per the official website, Students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers and Traditional Artisans category can apply for Master and PhD courses abroad. 

The scholarship is awarded to 125 students. Out of these 115 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes, 6 seats are reserved for Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes and 4 seats are for Landless Agricultural Labourers and Traditional Artisans. 30 % of the annual awards are kept for women candidates. 

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must have at least 60 %marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination. They should not be more than Thirty-Five years, as on the first day of April for the selection year. The family income ceiling is set at Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.

The NOS portal will be open from 15th February 2023 to 31st March 2023. Candidates are advised to go through the Scheme Guidelines of NOS 2023-24 for further details. The guidelines are also available on the website mentioned above.
