Nagaland University B.Sc. Admission 2026 Open Through CUET UG, Apply by July 15

Nagaland University has opened applications for its CUET-UG 2026 Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) in B.Sc. Interested individuals can apply for the July 15 deadline for Honours and Honours with Research pathways in Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Zoology under the NEP 2020 in a newly introduced online modality.

LUMAMI, NAGALAND, 6 July, 2026: As part of the Nagaland University (Central University of Nagaland) initiative, applications for the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) for the 2026-27 academic year will be accepted from the general public through CUET-UG 2026. This is a new initiative from the only Central University in the State.

With the establishment of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, admissions will be organized by the Multi-Disciplinary Research Centre (MDRC).

 The undergraduate programme will be structured in such a way that students will be able to pursue the Honours as well as the Honours with Research Programme in the Science disciplines of Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology.

Eligibility will be determined in accordance with the provisions of the relevant academic department, and admission will be based on merit as demonstrated by the CUET-UG score and performance in the Class XII examination.

Candidates are encouraged to visit the admissions portal.

Honours and Honours with Research programmes offer a combination of research, skills and innovation training along with fully equipped modern facilities and experienced faculty.”

The online application will be available from 1 to 15 July 2026.

The University will announce shortlisted candidates on 16 July 2026 and shortlisted candidates will go through the admission process from 17 July to 20 July 2026.  July 21 to 23, 2026, will be for admission from the waiting list. Recent passport-sized photographs, a signature, the Class X mark sheet with the admission card, the Class XII mark sheet with the admission card, the CUET scorecard, a transfer certificate, and the relevant caste, disability, backward tribe, or gap certificates will be required.

Following Nagaland University’s regulations for listing and reservations, admission will show representation of Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Sports Quota, Employees’ Quota, and Unreserved (UR). Nagaland University assures students who are admitted to the programme will have utilized modern facilities for research, digital library resources, Wi-Fi, e-learning, sports, counselling and placement services, a cafeteria, and a health centre.
