New Delhi: Ministry of Culture is pleased to release the Museums of India Mobile App (Android Version) on the occasion of International Museum Day and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. As the nation celebrates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, commemorating 75 years of India’s independence, the mobile app is designed to provide a digital showcase of 750 objects from 8 national museums as listed below –

• National Museum, New Delhi
• Indian Museum, Kolkata
• Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata
• National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi
• National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai
• National Gallery of Modern Art, Bengaluru
• Allahabad Museum, Allahabad
• Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad

The mobile app supports features like search & retrieval, access to 3D interactive objects and category-based browsing. One can mark favourite objects and share the link on social media platforms.   

The Museums of India Mobile App is designed and developed by Human-Centred Design & Computing Group at C-DAC, Pune. The Mobile App can be downloaded from Google App store.

The Museums of India Mobile App can immensely benefit the students, teachers, tourists and scholars as the museum collections are now easily available on their finger tip.
