Nagpur: Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur (MNLU Nagpur) will organise a one-day national conference on “Intellectual Property Rights, Emerging Technologies and Digital Regulations” on March 27, 2026. The conference is being organised by the DPIIT-IPR Chair in collaboration with the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR) and the Centre for Law, Technology and Policy (CLTP).
The conference aims to examine how rapid developments in technologies such as generative artificial intelligence, blockchain, metaverse platforms and synthetic media are reshaping intellectual property law and digital regulatory frameworks.
The event seeks to bring together academicians, legal practitioners, policymakers, industry stakeholders and researchers to discuss regulatory challenges, emerging legal doctrines and policy responses in the field of technology governance. According to the university, the conference will encourage interdisciplinary dialogue linking intellectual property law, competition law, digital regulation and public policy.
Researchers and students are invited to submit papers addressing contemporary issues in intellectual property and technology law. Selected papers will be presented at the conference and may be published in an edited book with an ISBN.
