MNLU, Nagpur Invites Applications for PhD. Degree Programme 2023

Nagpur:-  Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Nagpur, proudly announced its Admission for the PhD. Degree Programme for the year 2023 through a notification. The last date for receipt of the Filled-in Online Application Form is 31st July

The University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the Ph.D. Degree Programme 2023 in Law or interdisciplinary studies with Law. The programme covers various departments, including Law, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Management.

Eligibility for Admission requires applicants to hold a Master's Degree in Law from a recognized University, securing a minimum of 55% marks, or its equivalent. Alternatively, candidates with a Master's Degree in any discipline with the same marks may also pursue their research, provided it interfaces with public policy or law. Certain relaxations in marks are available for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and Specially Abled Persons.

The admission procedure entails an All India Entrance Test (AIET) which will be held on 19th August, except for candidates with qualifying examinations such as UGC NET, JRF, CSIR, SLET, GATE, or M.Phil., among others. Shortlisted candidates will undergo an interaction with the Research Committee on their preliminary research proposals.

Upon successful completion of the coursework, candidates are required to submit their final research proposals within three months. These proposals will be evaluated, and successful candidates will be provisionally admitted to the Ph.D. Degree Programme.

The AIET will consist of multiple-choice questions and short descriptive questions, including essay writing on topics of interest in the candidates' area of specialization. The test will be held at the University's Nagpur campus.

The fee structure for Indian Nationals and Foreign Nationals/NRIs varies, with detailed information available on the University's official website. MNLU offers both full-time and part-time enrolments for the PhD. Degree Programme, allowing candidates the flexibility to complete their research work within a specified period.

Interested candidates can apply online through the provided link, and the application fee for Indian Nationals is Rs. 2,000, while for Foreign Nationals/NRIs, it is Rs. 4,000. The application deadline is July 31, 2023, and the AIET is scheduled for August 19, 2023.
